A woman in Bijnor district in western Uttar Pradesh had a miscarriage after allegedly being a kicked by a police sub-inspector during a dharna on Thursday.The woman has been admitted in the district women's hospital with internal injuries. Police tried to play down the incident."There was no miscarriage, but the woman suffered some complications," said Sanjay Kumar, city superintendent of police (Bijnor).Kumar added he had visited the hospital to enquire about the woman's health.
