SC panel for CBI probe over Yeddyurappa in mining scam - NewsX

It puts cold water on the BJP's former Karnataka Chief Minister, BS Yeddyurappa's political ambitions. A Supreme Court panel has recommended a CBI probe against him for his alleged role in a mining scam. The panel says that there are gross irregularities in the allotments of mining leases by the former Chief Minister and his relatives.
But justice may not come that easily. In a major blow to former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, a Supreme Court panel has recommended a CBI probe against Yeddyurappa as well as his family in cases related to illegal mining.
