Kingfisher CEO to appear before DGCA today- NewsX

As Kingfisher hits rough weather with the ongoing crisis. Aviation regulator, the Director General of Civil Aviation has summoned Kingfisher Airlines' CEO Sanjay Aggarwal and other top officials to appear before them today. DGCA has asked Kingfisher to explain the large-scale disruption of operations and the reasons behind them. Kingfisher Airlines cancelled flights for three days in a row without informing the aviation regulator. Forty flights were cancelled on Monday itself. Defiant Kingfisher Chairman Vijay Mallya has said that he will not close down unless government forces him out. Putting the onus on Income tax authorities kingfisher also said that the taxman must defreeze their accounts in order for airline to operate. Whereas Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh has put the onus squarely on Vijay Mallya to mobilize his own funds.
