India News : Uttar Pradesh Police on Tuesday arrested well know Dalit scholar Kanwal Bharti for his Facebook post on IAS officer Durga Nagpal's suspension.

Commenting on the suspension, Bharti said the Samajwadi Party has become blind to people's problems in their lust for power. The Dalit scholar was arrested on the basis of an FIR filed by Uttar Pradesh minister and senior SP leader Azam Khan's aide. Bharti has now been granted bail.
