India News: Even before the issue of suspension of IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal could be settled, an IPS officer has been reportedly transferred in Rajasthan for reopening case against the father of a Congress MLA.

The transfer of Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police (SP) Pankaj Choudhary also sparked protests in the city, following which the traders and the residents called for a bandh. However, according to reports, the IPS officer said he did not have any regrets about "acting against history sheeters".

The IPS officer had opened the case against the father of a Congress MLA and local leader Gazi Fakir, who in the past has been allegedly involved in smuggling and other anti-social activities in the border areas of the state.A discussion over India News on that issue
