Medha Patkar: Ajit Pawar took 27.5 Crore as commission

India News: Social activist Medha Patkar has claimed to have fresh evidence in the Maharashtra Irrigation Scam. She has alleged that Income Tax raids at the Mahalakshmi Infraprojects Limited uncovered proof of kickbacks being paid to the tune of Rs 44 crore.

The Income tax assessment report cites documents showing unexplained payments made to people represented by acronyms. Patkar has alleged the acronyms refer to top leaders like Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, former BJP chief NItin Gadkari and Gopinath Mude.
