S. Korea's Minister of National Defense Jeong to visit UAE for six days to strengthen defense cooperation

South Korea's defense minister Jeong Kyeong-doo will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates for six days,... departing later tonight.
Minister Jeong will meet with his UAE counterpart to discuss strengthening Defense cooperation between the two countries.
He will also attend this year's IDEX International Defense Exhibition and Conference in Abu Dhabi,... where some 15-hundred defense firms from around 70 countries, including South Korea,... are expected to participate.
Minister Jeong plans to hold talks with his counterparts from Oman, Egypt, Greece and other countries,... during the exhibition.
He will also meet with South Korean troops from two units dispatched to the region.
The Akh unit is helping train the UAE's special forces,... and the Cheonghae naval unit is helping maintain maritime security in the Gulf of Aden.
