북미정상회담 날짜.장소 확정... 비핵화 로드맵 나올까

For more we have with us Professor Kim Hyun-wook from the Korea National Diplomatic Academy.
1 - Trump has confirmed the dates for the second summit with Kim,... the 27th and the 28th of February in Vietnam, although the city has not been confirmed yet. He announced it during the State of the Union address, so what do you make of the fact that he chose this occasion to make this announcement?
1a - Why Vietnam? Which city do you think it will be, Hanoi or Da Nang?
2 - The summit is less than 3 weeks away, and the two sides are busy in negotiations already. The U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, is currently in Pyeongyang and has been holding talks with his North Korean counterpart for two days now. What are the key issues they will be discussing?
2a - Reports suggest that we might need to temper expectations towards what comes out of the summit. They suggest that a so-called 'big-deal' on denuclearization is not going to happen, and that the two sides will settle for a 'small deal', taking a step-by-step course. What would a 'small deal' look like and is that what we should expect?
3 - Stephen Biegun is in Pyeongyang. Do you think there is a chance that he will meet with the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, himself?
4 - The last summit between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump, last June in Singapore,... was just a one day affair. But it looks like this next one will take place over two days. What do you think that tells us?
4a - Do you think there is a possibility that the summit could be delayed? (U.S. shutdown, etc.)
5 - Trump has also said that he will be meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the end of the end of the month as well to discuss trade issues,... and although the White House has not confirmed any plans, reports are suggesting that Trump will meet with Xi during his visit to Vietnam for the summit with Kim. The question becomes whether they will all meet in Vietnam, and whether some sort of three-way talks could take place,... or even four-way talks if South Korea's President also gets invited. Do you think something like that could happen, or is it too early for something like that?
