North Korea will seek to retain its nuclear, WMD capabilities: U.S. intel chief

Breaking ranks with his boss in the White House,... the U.S. Director of National Intelligence has cast doubt over North Korea's willingness to denuclearize.
Testifying before the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, Dan Coats said North Korea will seek to retain its WMD capabilities,... and it's unlikely to completely give up its nuclear weapons and production capabilities.
He added Kim Jong-un views nuclear weapons as critical to his regime's survival.
Coats also said U.S. intel agencies are observing "activity that's inconsistent with full denuclearization."
His comments run counter to President Trump's view that North Korea no longer poses a nuclear threat to the U.S.
