Japan is reportedly mulling the cancellation... of its planned naval exchanges with South Korea,... including a port call by the helicopter carrier JS Izumo.
Quoting a number of government officials on Saturday, Japan's Sankei Shimbun reported... that Tokyo's defence ministry has decided to reduce military cooperation with South Korea for the time being,... amid the recent radar lock-on incident .
The ministry had planned to dispatch a number of warships, including the Izumo,... to the city of Busan for the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus taking place in late April.
Sankei wrote... that a port call to Busan by Japanese warships may be put off,... and their participation in joint naval exercises will also be placed under review.
