Trump, Democrats Try And Fail To Compromise On Ending Shutdown

President Donald Trump and Democratic leaders failed to compromise to end the government shutdown on Friday.
The president and Democrats argued over the $5 billion that Trump has requested to build a wall on the Mexican border.
Vice President Mike Pence and congressional staffers are scheduled to meet this weekend to further discuss a deal.
“We had a very, very productive meeting, and we’ve come a long way,” Trump said.
Trump said he might declare a national emergency to have the wall built.
