President Trump on Friday asserted that Democrats have become "an anti-Jewish party." "I thought yesterday's vote by the House was disgraceful, because it's become -- the Democrats have become an anti-Israel party," Trump told reporters. "They've become an anti-Jewish party. And I thought that vote was a disgrace and so does everybody else if you get an honest answer." That vote took place in the House on a resolution that condemns bigotry of many kinds. It was drafted and presented following comments made by Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar that many deemed to be anti-Semitic. Initially, the resolution only addressed bias against Israel and Jewish people, but was expanded to include "hateful expressions of intolerance" regarding "African-Americans, Native Americans, and other people of color, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, immigrants and others." It passed on Thursday with a vote of 407-to-23.  All of the individuals who declined to approve the measure were Republicans, though some Democrats did express dismay over the resolution being expanded beyond its original sole focus of anti-Semitism.
