U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that most of the people not getting paid in the ongoing U.S. government shutdown are Democrats.
In a Thursday tweet, he once again stressed his need for funds to build his border wall with Mexico, saying Democrats are the ones who are suffering financially from the impasse.
His tweet comes a day after he claimed many federal workers support his call for more border wall funding and are willing to stay on unpaid leave.
Democrats criticized Trump's tweet, arguing that federal workers are not the partisans the president has made them out to be.
