1 killed, shutdown begins in Kerala over women's entry in Sabarimala temple

At least one person was killed on Thursday after protest erupted in Kerala post two women’s entry in Sabarimala Temple. Opposition parties called for a shutdown while a person was killed in stone pelting incident. Security in the state has been increased following protest. BJP had staged a protest on Wednesday. Two women, in their 40s, had entered the Sabarimala Temple at around 3:45 am under police protection. Video of the two women entering the temple went viral online and protests erupted over the state following the news.
