Two women were trying to enter the Sabarimala temple and were stopped by protestors from going ahead. They were escorted by the police who took them to police control room in Pamba. Recently, since the doors of the temple were opened on October 17, the protestors have been firm on preventing women devotees entering the temple. Supreme Court had earlier in its verdict on Sabarimala temple, allowed women devotees from 10-50 years of age to enter the temple.
