On Friday, another case of Nipah virus was officially confirmed in Kozhikode. This case involves a 39-year-old man who was under observation at a private hospital. It is noteworthy that he had sought medical attention at the same private hospital where other individuals with Nipah virus had been treated, as indicated by the Health Department. The initial sample testing took place at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital and was subsequently sent to the NIV mobile laboratory for confirmation.
