Let's start with the sub-freezing temperatures we woke up to here in South Korea.
We've just had word that it's the coldest morning of the winter season so far with the mercury well below freezing.
Braving the cold for us give us an update on the weather ,we have our Lee Jee-hyun standing by at one of Seoul's busiest commuter hubs, Gangnam Station.
Jee-hyun, how things are looking?

Hi Mark. Cold temperatures and biting winds are making things even colder. Last time I was here at Gangnam Station to give you a weather update was three weeks ago, the colder air is even more intensify, you will need to bundle up real tight... take out your thickest jackets, wear scarfs, gloves... cover up from head to toe.

It feels a lot like mid winter with a cold wave advisory being issued in many parts of the country, dry weather alerts are also in place in many regions including here in Seoul, it's extremely dry and cold.

Temperatures have dropped dramatically overnight, daily highs in Seoul will only get up to minus 6 degrees Celsius this afternoon. The cold snap is likely to persist through the remainder of 2018.

Most regions are waking up to a very cold morning, colder in upper regions...Chuncheon at minus 14 degrees, minus 5 degrees for Gwagnju, Gyeongju and Daegu.

Expect to have sub-freezing temperatures all day, Seoul at minus 6 degrees.... Busan and Jeju will also notice big drop in temperatures today so stay warm.

Closing.. cover up as much of your skin as possible, the weather today is no joke.. a cup of hot tea will help you to stay wam. That's all for now, stay warm
