Analysts say they expect 5G smartphones to hit the mainstream market... by the end of the first quarter next year.
Market research firm Strategy Analytics says... that the adoption rate of 5G smartphones in South Korea will reach 5-point-5 percent in the new year and rise to 10-point-9 percent by 2020.
Korea's three largest mobile carriers launched their 5G networks earlier this month,... but service is still limited to enterprise users.
Other countries expected to get an early start on 5G in the next two years... include the U.S., China and Japan.
