U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun says... the "window of opportunity" is closing for their nuclear talks with Pyeongyang,... if the North continues to maintain an ambiguous stance.
Seoul-based JoongAng Ilbo reports,... that during a meeting with his South Korean counterpart earlier this month,... Biegun said that Pyeongyang has been silent on Washington's proposals for high-level talks.
He is also said to have conveyed a message,... that with more pressure being put on those who support dialogue with the North within the U.S.,... and the Democrats taking over the lower house, the Trump administration cannot let time pass by.
U.S. State Department's spokesperson said on Tuesday... that frequent contact with the North is still being made.
