S. Korea and U.S. still discussing whether to conduct next year's joint military exercises

South Korea's Ministry of National Defense, meanwhile, said.... consultations over joint military exercises between South Korea and the U.S. are still underway.
Answering a reporter's question on Mattis' remarks,... the defense ministry's spokesperson Choi Hyun-soo said the two countries' defense ministries are closely cooperating to support the ongoing diplomatic efforts for North Korea's denuclearization,... and that whether the joint military exercises would be held next year, and if they are held, whether they would be scaled back,... are all matters still being discussed by the two countries.
