❗INGREDIENTS❗

Carrots 1 kg (grated)
Milk 400ml
Sugar 1 cup 150g or to taste

Powder milk 1 cup
Ghee (desi) ½ cup or as required
Cardamom 9-10

Dry fruits/nuts as required
Jaifil (Nutmeg) ¼
Javatri (Mace)
Kewra water 1tsp

INSTRUCTIONS

Rinse, peel and grate carrots. In a pot, add carrots and heat up.

Add milk and bring the whole mixture to a boil then mix it.

On a medium low flame, uncovered, grated carrots will cook in the milk and the milk starts to reduce and evaporate.

Now cook on high flame and keep on stirring in between.

When all milk evaporates, add sugar and give it a good mix.

Keep stirring and continue to cook on a high flame.

Add ghee and mix well.

Towards the end, add Milkpowder, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and mace, cover and put it on simmer for 5 minutes. Mix well add dry fruits/nuts and give it a good mix.

Gajar halwa is ready!



Urdu recepie

Gajar ko dho ker cheel lein aur kadukash ker lein.

Pot mein gajar or Doodh dal ker puray mixture ko ubal lein.

Halki darmiyani ancch per,baghair dhakay gajaron ko doodh mein paka lein aur doodh ko khuskh ker lein.

Ab tez annch per paka lein aur chamcha chalatay rahein.

Jab doodh mukamal khuskh ho jaye toh cheeni shamil karein aur ache tarhan mix ker lein.

Chamcha chalatay hoye tez ancch per paka lein.

Ghee dal ker mix ker lein.

Akhir mein elaichi powder,jaifal,javatri powder our milk powder dal ker dhak ker 5 min pakaain pher achay say mix karay or apni pasand kay dry fruits/nuts dal lein.

Gajar halwa tayyar hai.
