Hundreds of members of the student wing of an Islamist party marched along the streets of Karachi on Thursday. They protested against the release order of Asia Bibi, a Christian woman acquitted in Pakistan after eight years on death row for blasphemy. The charge of blasphemy carries the death penalty in Pakistan. On Wednesday a landmark move by Pakistan's Supreme Court overturned the 2010 conviction against Asia Bibi for insulting Islam's Prophet Muhammad. The radical Islamists mounted rallies for a second day and chanted slogans against Asia Bibi
