Mexican style broad beans
Ingredients:
1 kilogram of fresh broad beans
1 liter of pork broth
1 dash baking soda
1 teaspoon cumin
5 garlic cloves
2 roma tomatoes
1 bread
2 serrano chili pepper
Sat to taste
Pork lard to taste Tiempo de preparación: 20 minutos
Sirve: 6 personas


Preparation:
Open the pods and remove the broad beans. Boil the broad beans in water with a dash of baking soda for 5 minutes. Strain and set aside.
Blend the tomato and garlic in the blender. Put some pork lard in a hot pan and fry the broad beans for a minute. Add the blended tomato, continue cooking stirring frequently until the ingredients are cooked.
In another pan, fry the bread pieces with pork lard until crunchy. Process in the blender with the cumin and some of the pork broth.
When the broad beans are cooked, add the pork broth, blended fried bread, sliced serrano chili peppers and salt. Continue cooking until it thickens.
Serve hot.
