Severe Spring Thunderstorm Leaves Western Sydney Under Blanket of Hail

A spring thunderstorm on Wednesday, September 26, left parts of western Sydney coated in a thick, white blanket of hailstones.The Bureau of Meteorology issued severe thunderstorm warnings for a number of regions in New South Wales including Lismore, Tenterfield, Gunnedah, Narrabri, Casino and Kyogle. They said these storms were likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.New South Wales State Emergency Service tweeted they received 13 emergency calls from around the Schofields area.
