Comcast Wins Pay-Television Group Sky From Twenty-First Century Fox

Comcast has beat Rupert Murdoch’s Twenty-First Century Fox and won Sky. According to Reuters, Comcast offered $40 billion and won the pay-television group. Fox offered 15.67 pounds-a-share while Comcast offered 17.28 pounds-a-share. Buying Sky is going to blow up Comcast, which also owns NBC network and Universal Pictures. Comcast is now the world's largest pay-TV operator with 52 million customers.
