Waccamaw River Flooding Fills Conway Streets

City officials in Conway, South Carolina, took a boat ride around the city on Sunday morning, September 23, to inspect the Waccamaw River waters, which are still rising more than a week after Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas.The Waccamaw stood at just under 20 feet in Conway Sunday morning and was expected to rise another two feet before cresting on Tuesday, four feet above a record flood set by Hurricane Matthew two years ago.
