LA County Sheriff's Office Redirects Traffic as Charlie Fire Spreads

A wildfire that broke out on Saturday, September 22, in the Castaic area of southern California had grown to about 3,000 acres within hours.The fire, which was first reported at 2:40 pm at Charlie Canyon Road, forced road closures and could be seen as far as the San Fernando Valley.Evacuation orders were in place for some parts of San Francisquito Canyon Road, authorities said.Los Angeles County Fire Department inspector Joey Marron said that 120 firefighters three helicopters and two Super Scooper aircraft were deployed to tend the blaze.The LA County Sheriff’s Office reported that 20 to 50 homes were evacuated near Camp 14 on San Francisquito Canyon Road, but said no structures were threatened at the time this video was uploaded.
