NYC's Urban Search and Rescue Team Performs Water Rescues in River Bend

Units with New York City’s Urban Search and Rescue team were dispatched to River Bend, North Carolina, on September 14, to aid in the response and perform rescues following Hurricane Florence’s arrival to the area.In a video shared to the NYC Mayor’s Office Twitter account, members of the unit can be seen assisting an elderly resident through high flood waters following the storm.The National Weather Service warned of “life-threatening” flash flooding and storm surges continuing into Friday, September 14.
