Water Rushes Over Failed North Carolina Dam

The City of Boiling Spring Lakes released water from the Big Lake prior to the arrival of Hurricane Florence, but it wasn’t enough, and on Saturday, September 15, Sanford Dam failed and water swept away the road atop it.This video, shot on Sunday, shows the power of the water, digging deep into the dam and cutting into the banks by the railroad tracks at the foot of the dam.
