Drone Footage Shows Severe Flooding in Pocahontas From Rising Black River

Sections of Pocahontas, Arkansas were nearly completely submerged on Tuesday, May 2 due to spillover from the Black River.This drone footage shows an aerial view of the flooded area. One day after this footage was taken, the National Weather Service in Memphis issued a flash flood warning on May 3, describing a levee failure along the Black River that would cause additional flooding in Pocahontas and other areas across Eastern Randolph and Lawrence counties.
