The Hurricane Hunters captured an impressive view from inside Hurricane Florence after taking off from the Savannah Air National Guard Base, Georgia, on September 12.This footage shot by Tech Sgt Chris Hibben from the Air Force reserve HC-130J Hercules shows the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron conducting a storm tasking mission into what was then a category 4 storm.The tasking mission provides weather data for the National Hurricane Center to assist in providing “up-to-date and accurate information for storm forecasts”.As of September 13, Hurricane Florence was a category 2 storm.The National Hurricane Center warned of expected “life-threatening” conditions.
