Serena Williams' outburst overshadows Naomi Osaka's U.S. Open victory

Tennis star Serena Williams has been fined 17,000 U.S. dollars for three code violations during her loss to Naomi Osaka in the U.S. Open final.
She was fined for verbal abuse towards the umpire, warning for coaching violation and smashing her racket.
During Saturday's match, Umpire Carlos Ramos warned Williams for getting coaching, which is against the rules in Grand Slam matches.
Williams then lost a point for smashing her racket and she eventually lost her cool and called Ramos thief and even suggested sexism.
She defended her outburst after the match.

"I can't sit here and say I wouldn't say he's (umpire) a thief because I thought he took a game from me but I've seen other men call other umpires several things and I'm here fighting for women's rights and for women's equality and for all kinds of stuff and for me to say thief and for him to take a game, it made me feel like it was a sexist remark,…….

Meanwhile, Osaka's victory marked the first Grand Slam title for a Japanese player.
