Strong Earthquake Jolts Japanese Island of Hokkaido

A 6.7-magnitude earthquake shook the northern island of Hokkaido in the early morning on Thursday, September 6, disrupting train and flight services, as well as causing mudslides and landslides.More than 100 people were injured in different cities, including in the prefectural capital Sapporo, with at least 32 missing, and 3 million people without electricity, Japanese media reported.The quake also cut power supplies to Tomari nuclear power plant.This footage, shared on September 6, shows the effects of the quake in Sapporo, including damaged roads, panicked shoppers and power blackout.
