Intense Winds Rock Gulf Coast as Tropical Storm Gordon Makes Landfall

Tropical Storm Gordon made landfall on the Gulf Coast of Alabama just after 10pm on Tuesday, September 4, bringing heavy winds, intense rain and flooding.ABC reported a state of emergency was in effect in Mississippi, Louisiana and parts of Alabama.According to the Washington Post winds were nearly at hurricane force.At least one person died and around 21,000 were without power, The Weather Channel reported.In this video, taken from the Phoenix I hotel, strong winds and waves can be seen crashing on Orange Beach.
