Heavy rain and winds swept southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday, September 4, as the first bands of Tropical Storm Gordon reached the area. Gordon is expected to be a hurricane when it makes landfall later Tuesday night.The National Hurricane Center has issued a hurricane warning from the mouth of the Pearl River to the Alabama-Florida state line.
