Police officers in Coventry, Rhode Island, welcomed local high school students back to school with a heartwarming video, shared to Facebook on August 28.Coventry Police Department posted the video, starring School Resource Officer Paul Pacheco and Officer Aires Medeiros as a father and son duo who bicker on the first day of school.Pacheco, who plays the son, is reluctant to get up and get ready for school when his “dad” Medeiros comes into his bedroom to turn on the light. The pair re-enacts common disagreements between children and parents (including arguments over outfits and age-related digs) before heading to school.According to the post, the video is supposed to be a funny welcome back for those who attend Coventry High School but also includes a segment at the end to reassure those students who are struggling that they are always there to help.The video had had over 40,000 views at the time of writing.
