Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Rustam Singh was born on July 9, 1945 at Gwalior.As an IPS officer, Rustam Singh was SP in Jabalpur, Indore and Raipur for consecutive eight years. Took voluntary retirement form the post of IGP. Received President's Medal for meritorious and distinguished service. In 2003, he was elected as member of 12th Vidhan Sabha and worked as Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Food and Civil Supplies, Public Health and Family Welfare, Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare, Biodiversity and Biotechnology and Panchayat and Rural Development Department.

सीएम शिवराज सिंह की कैबिनेट में लोक स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री रुस्तम सिंह का जन्म 9 जुलाई 1945 को ग्वालियम में हुआ. रुस्तम सिंह ने एम.ए., एल.एल.बी. की शिक्षा प्राप्त की. खेल, बेटमिंटन, समाज सेवाभारतीय पुलिस सेवा में रहकर जबलपुर, इंदौर एवं रायपुर में लगातार आठ वर्ष तक पुलिस अधीक्षक रहे। पुलिस महानिरीक्षक पद से ऐच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति.राष्ट्रपति से मेरीटोरियल एवं डिस्टिंग्विश मेडल प्राप्त किया. 2003 में बारहवीं विधान सभा के सदस्य निर्वाचित एवं खेल और युवक कल्याण, खाद्य एवं नागरिक आपूर्ति एवं ग्रामीण विकास विभाग के मंत्री रहे।2013 में दूसरी बार विधान सभा सदस्य निर्वाचित।श्री रुस्तम सिंह को 30 जून, 2016 को मुख्यमंत्री श्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान के मंत्रि-परिषद में मंत्री के रूप में शामिल किया गया
