Congress president Rahul Gandhi is on a two day visit to Kerala to take stock of relief operations. He also flagged off trucks loaded with relief material in Kochi for the people affected by the deluge. Congress President took the opportunity to lash out at the central govt over relief operations. He said that compensation promised must be delivered quickly. He added that his visit to Kerala was to support the flood-affected people and not politicise the situation.
