Drought-Affected Areas of NSW Welcome Desperately Needed Rain
Parts of New South Wales saw rainfall over the weekend of Saturday, August 25, bringing much-needed relief to drought-stricken farmers.In video taken from Westdale, a storm can be seen rolling into Tamworth and Werris Creek. ABC reported that for some farmers in NSW and also Queensland, these were the first drops of rain to have fallen in more than a year.The Bureau of Meteorology reported rains between 0.2 mm to 24 mm fell along the eastern half of the state.
