Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducts an aerial survey of flood-affected areas. before the survey, Pm Modi held a meeting with Kerala cm Pinarayi Vijayan and Union Minister KJ Alphons. After the meeting pm, Modi also announced an immediate relief of Rs 500 crore. This amount is in addition to Rs 100 crore announced by home minister Rajnath Singh earlier on August 12. PM Modi also announced to grant rs 2 lakh ex-gratia per person to the next kin killed by floods, and Rs 50,000 for those who are seriously injured from prime minister relief funds.
