Police were in an hours-long standoff with a gunman in College Station, Texas, after gunshots were heard at Rockies Grill and Saloon on Monday, August 13, the College Station Police Department said.“A subject entered Rockies and fired a gun,” the police department tweeted around 11:30 am local time.Five hours later, in an updated tweet, the police said the gunman had “fired additional shots inside the building”.Police closed Texas Avenue between Southwest Parkway and Krenek Tap Road, as well as evacuated Park Place Plaza and other nearby businesses as the standoff and negotiations continued.
