Police violently clashed with protesters who marched towards a Chicago police station from the scene of a fatal officer-involved shooting on Saturday, July 14.Around 5:30 pm, city police shot a 30-year-old man dead after questioning him in South Shore, The Chicago Sun reported. By 7:30 pm, protesters had gathered at the scene of the fatal shooting on 71st St and faced-off with authorities who used their batons to push back the furious crowds.Later in the evening, when protesters marched towards the police station on Cottage Grove Ave, tensions between demonstrators and police escalated.
