Heather Heyer’s mother, Susan Bro, spoke tearfully about her daughter and the need to “fix things” on August 12 at the spot of her daughter’s death on 4th Street in Charlottesville, Virginia, saying “I don’t want other mothers to go through this.”Heather Heyer was killed when a man drove a vehicle through a crowd of white nationalists and counter-protesters during the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 12 of 2017.Bro brought flowers for Heyer as well as the two Virginia State Troopers who died in a helicopter crash& on August 12 of 2017.Police initially blocked off 4th Street at the intersection with Water Street to stop people from going to the exact spot the ramming attack occurred, but then later allowed a group, including Heyer’s mother, to enter.
