The trial of white nationalist James Alex Fields Jr. for murder at an ultra-right-wing rally in Virginia began Wednesday, with defense lawyers arguing that Fields felt threatened by counter protestors. Reuters reports 21-year-old Fields has admitted to driving the car that killed a woman and injured others during the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville on Aug. 21, 2017. Fields' lawyers on Wednesday called on the testimony of a man who also attended the rally.
