Authorities tackling the Ranch Fire in California felled a tree on August 7 as efforts to contain the blaze, part of the larger Mendocino Complex, continued.The CAL FIRE Mendocino Unit was “mopping up hot spots, clearing hazard trees, and ensuring the fire perimeter is secure in areas where the fire has already passed,” according to the video description.The Ranch Fire had covered 243,772 acres and was 20% contained by the evening of August 7, CAL Fire reported.
