The Mendocino Complex fire burned through 243,772 acres of the northern Lake County in California by the evening of August 7, as firefighters continued to tackle what had become the largest fire in the state since records began.The fire, comprised of the Ranch Fire and River Fire, remained at 20 percent containment Tuesday.
