The presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae says neither the country nor the President have ever forgotten about the South Korean man now being held captive by an armed group in Libya.
The Presidential spokesperson said Thursday that South Korea and the President have been doing everything possible to get the man released.
He was abducted over a month ago while working in Libya.
Cheong Wa Dae said a South Korean military unit in the region to fight piracy... is on its way to help with rescue efforts.
The reaction from the top office comes a day after a video of the captives was posted online... showing one South Korean and 3 of his Filipino colleagues... pleading for their release.
Park Hee-jun has more. A South Korean citizen has been held captive for almost a month by an unidentified group in Libya.
Seoul's Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed Wednesday... that 1 South Korean and 3 Filipinos, who were working on a water supply project in western Libya,,... were raided and abducted by an unidentified armed group on July 6th.
The abduction was reported by the authority overseeing the project.

A video clip appearing to show the four men... was posted on Facebook Wednesday morning by 218News, a major Libyan television channel.
They say they are from South Korea and the Philippines,... and, surrounded by men with guns, they're pleading for help.
According to an official at the ministry,... it's not yet known who the kidnappers are or what their motive is,... but the clip is likely a sign that the group wants to negotiate terms for the abductees' release.
And they are expecting the group to make contact very soon.

The foreign ministry says the South Korean government has been doing its best to ensure the Korean man's safety since it became aware of the situation last month.
It also made it clear that it will not negotiate directly with the group,... but handle the situation in close cooperation with the Libyan government.
