Good afternoon, Seoul could see a high of 39 degrees... it's forecast to be as hot as yesterday. Neighboring countries will also have blistering heat, with Tokyo forecast to hit 36 degrees today.
So brace yourselves for another all time record high, it's very likely today's high will be in top 3 highest recorded in Seoul since 1907.
And there's no relief from the heat at night... yesterday's extreme heat lingered through the night leading to a super tropical night in Seoul for the first time ever and we could see blistering heat causing another super tropical night in Seoul tonight.
There is really no time or place we can escape from the extreme heat at the moment... Seoul and Chuncheon will be at 39, and even Busan will get up to 35 degrees. Drink plenty of water and take it easy as the heat can be really dangerous.
The unbearable heat will ease up just a bit starting tomorrow, but not by much... so take care.
