Fire Burns Through Fields Next to Drusillas Zoo Park in East Sussex

A “serious” brush fire broke out in the fields of Berwick Court Farm near Drusillas Zoo park in East Sussex on July 25, according to fire officials. Evacuations were ordered for the park and immediate surrounding area, according to reports.East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, with help from West Sussex, quickly got the fire under control. No injuries were reported.In a tweet Drusillas Park said, “Thank you all for your concern regarding the fire that broke out in the field opposite us this afternoon. We are happy to say we safely evacuated all visitors and no damage has occurred to the park. All of our animals are safe and well. The park will be open as usual tomorrow."
