Both Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang have called for an immediate investigation.

Aram…yet another deeply concerning public health scare in China…..

That's right Mark… Changsheng Biotechnology is accused of falsifying production data and product inspection records of its rabies vaccine.
So far there have been no cases of any harm caused by the vaccine, but the incident has still angered the Chinese government and people.
President Xi Jinping said the illegal activities were shocking, while Premier Li Keqiang urged severe punishment for the people involved, saying the incident had "crossed a moral line."
Beijing's Food and Drug Administration has launched an investigation as per the president's orders.

"These actions seriously violated the relevant stipulation of China's Drug Administration Law and Good Manufacture Practice (GMP) of Medical Products. The State Drug Administration has ordered to stop its production, recalled its GMP certificate and recalled the untapped rabies vaccines."

The firm's chairwoman and four other senior executives have been put in to custody and are being questioned.
Changsheng Biotechnology has apologized through a statement, saying it will cooperate with the probe.
However the apology appears to not be enough as some parents are already looking elsewhere for vaccinations.

" who can guarantee there were no problems with the vaccines we had taken in the past. So we have no choice, but to take vaccines in Hong Kong or elsewhere."

Chinese authorities have vowed to clean up the vaccine industry in the past.
Premier Li vowed to fix loopholes in the supervision of vaccine production two years ago, after nearly 84 million U.S. dollars-worth of expired drugs had been sold across the country over several years.
